Today's tip - Simple Storage

We all have those knick knacks, toys, stationary, notes, paperclips....you get the picture, that love to roam free in the home and are never where you last put them when you need them. So our first design tip will help you get those extras organized!

A bookshelf, ottoman or couch with storage, living room table with tucked away shelves, ect. can all help keep your things discreetly organized and EXACTLY where you want them, when you want them.

Pro tip - use woven or wire baskets, DIY fancy shoeboxes, or collapsible cubbies in your bookshelf to keep things organized AND looking cute all year round. Mix and match for an ultra trendy look.

I don’t think there is a picture that better captures his love for the two of us! We were his world and he was ours! Now that I’ve had a minute to sit down and actually digest what has happened, I am filled with tears and sadness. I don’t get another Saturday to walk around the corner and see him sitting in his wheelchair (usually sleeping) and getting a great big smile when he opened his eyes. I don’t get to tell him about the bombers or the kids or FaceTime with Laurie and Denis and Hunter. I did tell him last Saturday that Rylee was arriving this Saturday for a month and he said “Rylee” after months of barely saying anything that we could recognize. (The week before when Hayden went to visit he said “Hayden”). I can’t thank you all enough for your love and kind words! We are relishing in reliving the memories that everyone had of him - of course everyone comments on his great big heart matched by his great big smile! We know he’s watching us now from up above and telling everyone in heaven about all of us and how proud he is! Proud Papa - there has never been a more accurate description! 😘❤️😢

Today (yesterday as I write this) started like any other - mainly filled with the excitement of leaving on a trip tomorrow morning and the building anticipation of Rylee coming home for Christmas on Saturday but then a phone call came that I never expected - Papa had other plans. When the staff went in to give him his evening snack, they found that he had passed away. He taught me so many things and I can’t ever recall him saying “no” to me regardless of the ask. He was the most gentle, kind-hearted man I’ve ever known with a smile that never left his face. I’m so blessed to have called him Dad! I’ll miss you Papa! This still all feels like a dream!

Last night we tackled the laundry room and I’m still smiling at how happy I am with the way it turned out!!! So blessed...
