Dust surfaces: Dust accumulates on various surfaces throughout your home. Use a microfiber cloth or a duster to wipe down furniture, shelves, and other surfaces.
Vacuum and mop floors: Depending on the type of flooring you have, vacuum or sweep and mop the floors. This helps remove dirt, dust, and debris that accumulate during the week.
Clean kitchen appliances: Wipe down kitchen appliances, including the microwave, oven, and refrigerator. Check for any spills or stains and clean them promptly.
Disinfect high-touch surfaces: Disinfect doorknobs, light switches, remote controls, and other frequently touched surfaces. This is especially important for maintaining a healthy living environment.
Empty trash bins: Dispose of trash regularly, and make sure to clean the trash bins as well. Use a disinfectant to eliminate any odors or bacteria.
Wash bedding: Launder sheets, pillowcases, and any other bedding items on a weekly basis. This helps maintain a clean and comfortable sleeping environment.
Clean bathroom surfaces: Scrub the toilet, sink, and bathtub or shower. Wipe down counters and mirrors. Consider using a bathroom cleaner to remove soap scum and other residues.
Organize and declutter: Take some time to declutter and organize different areas of your home. Put away items that are out of place and tidy up spaces like countertops and tables.
Inspect and clean windows: Clean windows inside and out, removing any accumulated dirt and streaks. Check for any damage or issues that may need attention.
Rotate and flip mattresses: If possible, rotate and flip your mattress to ensure even wear and prolong its lifespan.
Check and replace air filters: If you have a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, check and replace air filters as needed. This helps maintain air quality and improves the efficiency of your system.
