We welcomed a new kitten into our home! While feline friends bring so much joy, let’s talk about getting their urine out of clothing/bedding/any washable fabric.

When a kitten or cat urinates on fabric, if it’s not properly washed, a cat will still be able to smell traces of their urine and will continue to mark that spot (even after it’s washed!).

Here’s how we tackle the issue:

1. Vinegar & Baking soda- these will be your new best friend! Add up to a cup of baking soda into the drum of your washing machine (on top of your clothing/bedding). Add a cup of white vinegar to the detergent tray.
2. Wash on HOT
3. Once the wash cycle is finished, do one more wash cycle with detergent (an enzyme detergent is best- we use Lysol Laundry Disinfectant, or Nature’s Miracle).

Have you heard of a clear water clean? It’s where you mop your floor and drain the dirty water…then you keep mopping and draining until the drained water is completely clear- absolutely zero dirt picked up from the mop ✨

Washing and drying pillows: Pillows take 2-3 hours on low heat in a large dryer to fully dry. A pillow may ✨ feel ✨ dry to the touch after 30-ish minutes, but don’t be fooled…the inside might still be wet/damp and can quickly create mold or mildew that will spread to the outer layer (yuck!).

Add tennis balls to fluff your pillow (and because it looks fun) 😊

Rest in Peace to a customer who became a dear friend. Ron (Ronnie) was the sweetest man who loved to write poetry while he did his laundry at Home Style Coin Laundromat. We will treasure his friendship, memory, and the many, many poems he wrote.

So thankful for the many customers who have become friends 💕

Three new double load washing machines installed today 🙌

We love the community at our laundromat, and we are thrilled to be able to provide you with new machines to use.

Katie tested the new washers with her own laundry and WOW, they came out so clean!!
