Griffin Restoration is a sustainable, 100% Canadian-owned company providing top-notch services for property restoration and post-loss construction, specializing in fire and flood damage on Vancouver Island. We serve strata's, insurance companies, adjusters, property managers, homeowners, and assist during disasters.
**Position Details:**
💼 **Job Title:** Book Keeper
📍 **Location:** Remote position, with one or two weekly meetings with shareholders in Victoria BC
⏰ **Work Hours:** Approximately 30 hours per week.
💰 **Compensation:** Competitive salary in the range of $26-$30/hour, based on experience.
**Requirements:**
- At least 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is preferred.
- Ability to work from home with a reliable computer and internet connection.
**Responsibilities:**
As our Book Keeper, you will be responsible for maintaining and organizing financial records for our property restoration projects. Your duties will include:
📅 **Daily:**
- Record financial transactions and reconcile bank accounts.
- Monitor project expenses and update financial data in QBO online.
- Collaborate with team members and shareholders to ensure financial accuracy.
🗓️ **Weekly:**
- Prepare and analyze financial reports for management review.
- Attend virtual meetings with shareholders to discuss financial updates.
- Provide support for ongoing projects and address any financial queries.
📆 **Monthly:**
- Perform month-end closing procedures and generate financial statements.
- Perform payroll, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Organizational Filing
