Chamber CEO Bruce Williams and Managing Director Cheryl Wirch-Ryckman joined teachers from Greater Victoria School District and surrounding school districts earlier this month for their Power Play - Young Entrepreneurs initiative. This educational program helps students in grades 4 through 8 develop an entrepreneurial mindset. Chamber members Jeff Crone of Fig’s Mobile Detailing and Megan Johns of The Green Kiss also joined the event to share their unique perspectives on what it is to be an entrepreneur.

Fig's Mobile Detailing was created by owner Jeff Crone in 2021, in the heart of the pandemic, to serve vehicle owners in the Greater Victoria Area.

Fig's purpose is to address the needs of everyday people who want to treat their vehicles with the same care and attention that is afforded to top-end luxury vehicles. Jeff has been a self-starter since his childhood. He was introduced to the auto detailing business in his twenties, and after graduating with a degree in Business and Marketing, took the opportunity to move to Vancouver Island.

In 2022, Jeff celebrated his first full year as a business owner. The name Fig’s originated from Jeff's childhood nickname "Fig". Today, Fig's serves smart cars to luxury automobiles and commercial fleets on a regular basis
