Yeah yeah. Boundaries and sticking to your word….but what about the costume? He did it all on his own. You do not want to see the what was left in the wake of the creation but it did give me time to shower so win win and 🌟 for creativity.

Sometimes it’s not about the work.

It’s about what’s left over for the people and things that matter most, the ones that somehow always get the least amount of your attention.

This is why I resist putting myself in a box as a “life coach” or “exec coach” or “leadership coach.” It’s all connected. You can’t truly separate work and life, even if you’re a professional compartmentalizer.

When I wasn’t fulfilled at work, it bled into everything else. I went from being someone who rarely watched TV to someone who just wanted Netflix and pizza. Not my norm. Not who I wanted to be.

I wanted to enjoy my life, and that included my work.

I’ve moved through that middle zone more than once. Which makes me genuinely curious about you.

👇 Tell me in the comments:
If you’ve been through a transition what helped?
If you’re in one right now, feeling career-confused or unfulfilled, what do you think it would take to shift?

Let’s learn with and from each other. That’s the energy we’re building here. 🙌

Family, freedom, impact, income. Those are my whys.

Family - I like my family a lot. and I met at almost 50, and we have so much life left to share. I want to model for my 3 and 5-year-old what it looks like to do work you love. And I want to be there without asking anyone for permission to rearrange my day. My 5-year-old starts school in September. He’s pretty attached, and I love that I get to show up fully for that transition.

Freedom - see above. I did corporate for close to 20 years. I loved parts of it even the ritual of making a smoothie and getting out the door in 17 minutes. That worked then. Now I want something different.

Impact - I’ve had clients tell me they became a better parent after our work together. I’ve had partners message me saying they got their spouse back. The ripple goes to teams, organizations, communities. I’ll just say it: I genuinely believe coaching can change the world. I love this work.

Income - I want freedom from financial stress. To buy a beautiful painting from an artist. To take my friends to a nice hotel for a weekend. To give my family adventures and room to explore.

Thanks for the nudge ✨

This is not about networking or optimizing your resume or your profile.

It’s about you. We start with you because you can’t figure out What’s Next until you know What You Want.

Without knowing what you want, you’re in the middle zone between where you are now and where you really truly want to go next.

It’s why LinkedIn scrolling goes nowhere. And why the resume updates don’t make a difference.

The order of things is off.

And I know you want the answer, probably yesterday. I also know you’re busy and don’t really have time to think about this, so you stay in the ol’ middle zone.

There’s a way out of this loop. You could have actual clarity, a vision and a plan by the end of July.

The kind of clarity and plan that feels exciting and alive. Maybe a little unbelievable. Maybe a little nerve-wracking.

What would you do with all that freed up energy?

This is what we do inside “What’s Next. 4 weeks live group immersion.

Details in bio or message me NEXT and I’ll send you the info.

The middle zone is the hardest place to be.

Not unhappy enough to leave. Not fulfilled enough to stay.

You’re suspended between the life you have and the one you want but aren’t even sure what that means.

Change the question, instead of

“what’s my next job”….start with….

”what kind of life do I want” and if that feels too abstract try….

“What part of this job would I miss if it disappeared tomorrow?” Not the title. Not the paycheck. The work itself.

That answer to those will give you more clarity than any job board ever will.

Share with someone you know is in the middle zone…it may be the budge they need!

Joking not joking. Don’t judge the room…..getting to it. Right after my shower. Alone. So never. Yeah yeah, I’ll miss it one day :).

If you won’t do it for yourself, do it for the people around you.

Your friends. Your family. Your team. Your community.

The ones who are missing out on the best parts of you, because even when you’re physically there, you’re not really there.

Do it for the opportunities that keep falling to the bottom of the list because your energy is tied up in spinning and overthinking.

Do it for you, obviously. But if that’s not enough motivation right now, let it be for them.

Here’s what I know: figuring out what’s next doesn’t have to be heavy. It can actually be kind of fun. It’s not about resumes and LinkedIn. It’s about you - your journey, what lights you up, what you actually want, who you are right now.

And if you’ve been spinning for so long you don’t even believe clarity is possible, I promise you it is. With some attention, intention, a real process, and a little human magic, you can have clarity and a plan you actually believe in.

Message me NEXT and I’ll send you the details on What’s Next - a 4-week live immersion to help you stop spinning and find your direction.

The middle zone is the hardest place to be.

Not unhappy enough to leave. Not fulfilled enough to stay. Suspended between the life you have and the one you keep almost choosing.

I lived there for years. Wanting freedom. Wanting to choose my own hours and take a yoga class on a Tuesday at 2pm if I felt like it.

But also loving the stability, the paycheck and the work I could do with my eyes closed. Which was also kind of the problem cause I need to be challenged and learning.

The pull in both directions is real. And it will keep you exactly where you are if you don’t interrupt it but it also gives you more levers to pull on in the exploration of what’s next for you.

Levers moving you forward can be things like knowing your values, building a living breathing vision of the life you actually want, getting clear on the parts of you that are ready to lead.

Levers holding you back are things like limiting beliefs, the personas you’ve been hiding behind, the scared part that wants certainty before it takes another step, the part that worries what people will think.

When you can see both sides clearly, the middle zone stops feeling like a trap and starts feeling like a starting point.

DM me NEXT and I’ll help you get through the middle zone.
