🚨 Still working. Still legal. Here's why.
With Stage 3 water restrictions in effect very soon across Metro Vancouver, a lot of homeowners are assuming exterior cleaning is completely off the table this summer.
It's not.
Under the City of Vancouver Drinking Water Conservation By-Law No. 12086, Section 9.2(c) — health and safety exterior cleaning is still fully permitted. We reached out to the City of Vancouver directly and received written confirmation.
Here's what we're still doing all summer long:
🟢 Building & house washing — Mold, algae, and biological growth on your exterior holds moisture against your home and breaks down your siding over time. Removing it is a health and safety necessity, not just cosmetic.
🟢 Surface cleaning — Driveways, walkways, stairs, and decks covered in algae and organic buildup are slip hazards. That qualifies as health and safety work and we're still on it.
🟢 Gutter cleaning — Completely unaffected by water restrictions. With rainy season coming, now is the right time to make sure your gutters and downspouts are clear and flowing properly.
🟢 Window washing — We use traditional squeegee technique for streak-free results inside and out. No water restrictions. No problem.
We operate by the book, every single time. Your property is in good hands.
