A $200 gutter cleaning can help prevent a much more expensive water problem.

This gutter was packed with leaves and debris, leaving less room for rainwater to flow. Once that water starts backing up and overflowing, it can end up around the roof, fascia, walls, or foundation.

Cleaning out the buildup now is a lot cheaper than repairing water damage later.

There’s something satisfying about watching dirty glass disappear one pass at a time.

The glass is scrubbed first to loosen the dirt and buildup, then the squeegee removes the water in smooth, controlled passes without leaving streaks behind.

Simple process, but good technique makes all the difference.

Water leaking from different parts of a downspout is a pretty good sign something isn’t flowing properly.

Once we opened this one up, we found a massive plug of mud, leaves, and decomposed debris packed inside. Water was backing up behind it and forcing its way out wherever it could.

This is why cleaning the gutter isn’t enough if you never check the downspout.

Clear the entire system and make sure the water actually has somewhere to go.

Streak-free windows come down to using the right technique.

After properly scrubbing the glass, the squeegee should stay in contact with the surface while moving in smooth, controlled passes. This keeps the water moving off the glass instead of leaving streaks behind.

Simple technique, spotless finish.

$250 to clean the gutters or potentially thousands to repair water damage.

This gutter was packed with leaves and debris that were stopping water from draining properly. Once everything was cleared, we checked the downspout to make sure water was flowing freely all the way through.

That strong flow at the bottom is exactly what you want to see.

Regular cleaning is a lot cheaper than repairing the damage caused by an overflowing gutter.

That rush of water is exactly why you don’t want to ignore a clogged downspout.

Leaves and debris had blocked the system and trapped water that should have been draining away from the house. Once the blockage was cleared, we cleaned out the gutters to get everything flowing properly again.

A $300 cleaning is a lot cheaper than dealing with thousands of dollars in leak and water damage repairs.

A $99 gutter cleaning ended up costing this homeowner $9,000.

For years, the gutters looked clean from the ground, but nobody was checking the downspouts or flushing the system to make sure water could actually drain. Mud and debris slowly built up until rainwater started overflowing and damaging the wood behind the gutters.

By the time the real problem was found, parts of the fascia and soffit needed to be repaired.

A proper gutter cleaning isn’t just about removing the leaves you can see. You need to make sure the entire system actually drains.

Four window panels, cleaned with the same technique from start to finish.

The glass is thoroughly scrubbed first to loosen dirt and buildup. Then the squeegee stays in contact with the glass using smooth, controlled passes to remove the water without leaving streaks behind.

Good technique makes even large sections of glass look effortless.

Removing the leaves is only part of a proper gutter cleaning.

This gutter was holding standing water because debris was stopping it from draining properly. Once everything was cleared, we flushed the system with a hose to make sure water could flow freely through the downspout.

That final flush is how you know the job is actually done.

Basement window tracks can collect a surprising amount of dirt.

Because they sit so close to the ground, rain can splash dirt and debris toward the window, while opening them throughout the summer allows even more buildup to collect inside the tracks.

One of the best ways to clean them is with a brush and vacuum together. The brush loosens everything stuck in the tight corners while the vacuum removes it before you clean the rest of the window.

Don’t forget the tracks when you clean your windows.
