We've been a little quiet around here lately.
Even though we've continued working, these past few days haven't felt the same. It's been hard to stay focused when your body is in one place, but your heart is somewhere else.
Like so many Venezuelans living abroad, we've felt a mix of sadness, worry, and helplessness. When an entire country is hurting, it feels like your own family is hurting too.
At the same time, we've been incredibly grateful to have work that has, in many ways, become a form of therapy for us. It has helped us keep moving forward, stay grounded, and take care of ourselves, even while our hearts remain with Venezuela.
Because in order to keep supporting others, even from afar, we also need to find the strength to keep going.
Last weekend, we wanted to do our small part. We set out to make a donation, but when we arrived, we decided to stay and volunteer by helping organize and pack some of the boxes that will be sent to Venezuela.
As we chose each item, we had one simple hope: that it would reach someone who truly needs it.
We hope every box, every donation, and every act of kindness brings a little comfort and hope to those who need it most.
Thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered, shared information, kept Venezuela in their prayers, or simply carried our country in their hearts.
We continue to believe in the strength of our people, in kindness, and in hope.
