💙 How does Home Reset Cleaning come up with pricing?

It’s a question I get asked often, so I thought I’d give you a little behind-the-scenes look at my process!

One thing I’ve learned is that no two homes are ever the same. Two homes with the same number of bedrooms and bathrooms can require completely different amounts of time depending on their condition, level of buildup, and your priorities.

That’s why I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all pricing.

Instead, here’s how I work:

🏡 Step 1: We start with a walkthrough or a photo review.

📝 Step 2: We talk about what’s most important to you. Every home and every family has different priorities.

⏱️ Step 3: I estimate the labour hours required to complete your cleaning thoroughly. This allows me to provide a realistic estimate while focusing on quality instead of rushing through the job.

💬 Step 4: If you have a specific budget in mind, let me know! We can prioritize the areas that matter most so you get the greatest value within your budget.

✨ My goal has never been to clean as fast as possible.

My goal is to leave your home feeling clean, calm, and truly reset. That means taking the time to do the job with care and attention to detail.

I believe honest communication and realistic expectations lead to the best experience—for both my clients and my business.

Dirty water = time for fresh water. 🪣👀

One of the easiest cleaning mistakes to make is continuing to clean once your water has turned cloudy or dirty.

If your water starts looking like this… change it!

The dirt you’re removing has to go somewhere. Once your cleaning water is full of grime, you risk spreading that dirty water right back onto the surfaces you’re trying to clean.

My rule: when the water looks dirty, it goes. ✌️

Fresh water + clean cloths = a much better clean. ✨

A home reset isn’t always about cleaning. ✨

Sometimes it’s changing something that has been bothering you for way too long.

We finally went from dark walls to a much lighter, brighter colour in our living room and WOW — what a difference. 🤍

Same room. Same furniture. Completely different feeling.

That’s what I love about a good reset: sometimes it’s a deep clean, sometimes it’s decluttering, sometimes it’s fresh paint… but the goal is the same — making your home feel better to live in.

And yes, the cleaning lady has home projects too. 😂

Even the cleaner’s house needs a deep clean sometimes 😂🙋‍♀️

Pulled out my own fridge yesterday and… yep. Behind the fridge needed some love too!

And while I was at it:
✨ Behind the fridge
✨ The fridge vent/filter area
✨ And don’t forget the TOP of the fridge 👀

These are exactly the little areas that are so easy to forget during everyday cleaning, until you move something and realize what’s been hiding back there. 😅

FRIDGE RESET 🧊✨

Giving my own fridge a much-needed deep clean!

Here’s what I did:

✨ Took everything out
✨ Checked expiration dates and tossed anything that needed to go
✨ Vacuumed first to pick up all the crumbs and loose debris
✨ Removed the shelves, drawers and door bins
✨ Let the cold glass shelves sit out and warm up before washing them — you don’t want to take cold glass straight into hot water!
✨ Cleaned everything from top to bottom using the GoCleanCo large-batch recipe:

🪣 1 gallon HOT water
🧼 1 tsp powdered Tide
✨ 1/3 cup bleach (optional for disinfecting)

Then everything got dried, reorganized and put back in.

The difference 😍

And since I was already doing a full fridge reset, I didn’t stop at the inside — behind the fridge, the vent/filter area AND the top of the fridge got cleaned too. 👀

It’s amazing how much hides in the spots we don’t see every day!

🚿 Don’t overlook your shower tracks!

They may be small, but they collect soap scum, hard water deposits, hair, and grime faster than you might think.

The good news? Keeping them clean is much easier than waiting until they’re heavily built up.

Here’s a simple routine:
✨ Spray with an all-purpose cleaner.
🪥 Scrub the grooves with an old toothbrush or small detail brush.
🧼 Wipe clean with a microfiber cloth.
💧 Rinse if needed and enjoy the difference!

💡 Pro Tip: If you have hard water, white vinegar can help dissolve mineral deposits. Just be sure your shower tracks aren’t made from a material that could be damaged by acidic cleaners, and avoid getting vinegar on natural stone surfaces nearby.

A few minutes every week can save you a lot of scrubbing later!
