The conversations on Health & Climate have never been more ubiquitous. Wild fires, floods, soaring temperatures and more have caused unthinkable destruction in the last two years, and the pandemic has resulted in many re-committing to health and wellness in so many ways.

This Earth Day we are reflecting on what we are doing to combat climate change and protect our health in the process!

Zero solvents are used in our plant! Ask Your dry cleaner if solvents are used and if so consider changing to a cleaner that uses no harsh chemicals or solvents. The employees, communities, our environment and customers will be better without it!

Use less (or eliminate) plastic! Despite its effectiveness plastic bags used by our industry is not biodegradable and takes hundreds of years to degrade in a landfill. Not only is it a lot of waste but it is also an opportunity to do better. That is why we promote the use of our reusable green garment bags picture above in our shop, to reduce the plastic waste generated by our small business.

C&K Courtesy Cleaners Ltd., in Surrey, BC, is owned by partners Charlotte Morton and Khanh Chau. They purchased an existing business in 1990, which had only been open about 18 months. 32 years later, they are still in business, and in the same location.
