A Message to Our Swim Community
Over the past several weeks, many families in our community have been seeking clarity around continued access to quality swim programming. As owners of Wahoo Swim School, we want families to know that we have been actively working behind the scenes to identify responsible, sustainable options that prioritize swimmers and their long-term development.
After weeks of discussion with the Board of Directors of the Parkland Pirates Aquatic Club, the club has voted to relaunch the P*e Wee Pirate (PWP) program beginning January 2026. PWP is a long-standing pre-competitive pathway designed to help young swimmers build strong foundational skills in a structured, coach-led environment.
This decision reflects a shared commitment to supporting the broader Tri-Municipal swimming community. In recent years, significant community investmentβover $180,000βhas been made into aquatic infrastructure at the TLC to support competitive swimming. The relaunch of PWP helps ensure this investment continues to benefit local families.
Former Wahoo families will receive direct communication with program details, registration options, and next steps. Placement will be managed by the Parkland Pirates Aquatic Club, and space will be limited.
We appreciate the patience shown by families during a challenging and uncertain period. Our focus remains on supporting swimmers, maintaining professionalism, and working within established governance structures.
