From the moment someone hires me to come into their home to help, I start planning. I am sent photos and written expectations. I ask what they have for me to use storage wise, then map out suggestions and send options for them to purchase if things could aid their needs. When the time comes for me to tackle the job, I have everything I need to go and get it done in a timely organized fashion. Life is busy for all. So I get the dump and go. Drop things into a “catch all” room. No judgment here!! This weekend I was thrilled to jump into a storage room, sort, clean, declutter and organize. These clients bought shelves and totes from my suggestions, and things went smoothly. This family worked with me as I set out piles for them. Keep/store, donate and trash. Once they started seeing results of the storage room they were eager to finish by looking over what I had set out. There isn’t anything ‘pretty’ about a storage room, but having things organized and categorized sure makes it easier to keep things neat and in place. They also have more room to store more items they would like to keep from other areas of the house, making it less cluttered elsewhere. Check out my video to have a peek at what I did this weekend.
