A friendly reminder to have your chimney cleaned and inspected regularly. As we hit midway through our burn season it’s important to remember to have a look at your chimney and stove pipes. Doing so could prevent a chimney fire. It only takes a few minutes to give everything a thorough inspection and in doing so you can give yourself confidence in knowing everything is ok. Here are a few pics of some of the chimneys I cleaned today. One had serious creosote buildup and a huge hole in the stove pipe. The other one has serious cracks in the chimney liners. Burn smart. Burn safe.
