In February my 2005 F-250 got written off after being hit by a driver who fell asleep at the wheel.
The goal of this Ranger is simple: restore it as close as I can to how it looked coming off the dealer lot.
Part of the reason I picked up an older truck is to show what I can do with detailing, and to get more hands-on with restoration and paint work. It’s something I want to take more seriously, and this is a solid platform to build those skills while growing the business. Eventually I want to respray my Odyssey with the preparation skills I’m learning on this truck in terms of body work.
I’m excited to document to process with reels and photos beyond the usual detailing “before and after“ shots, starting with mechanical work.
Done so far:
- wider Ford Explorer rims on AT tires
- headlight restoration
- IAC valve and intake system clean
( no CEL, all preventative and interval)
Parts on the way:
- spark plugs & wires
- TPS sensor
- PCV valve & new hoses
- AC compressor
- thermostat (w/ new housing and gasket)
- rear differential fluid gasket
- fuel filter
- complete fluid flush & change
Cosmetic to-dos’s: ➡️ Coming soon … 😳 L
(Also - using trending audios consistently helps grow the page. That is why we are posting more reels.)
