Here’s how this great community worked at our local mat recently:
A new neighbor in town found one of our long-time regulars to do some sewing for her.
While chatting, our awesome seamstress regular said, "You’ve got to head over to Laundry Central!"
Not long after, that new neighbor was introducing herself to me as a new regular!
This is how a local community is built—one positive word-of-mouth referral at a time. At Laundry Central we need it, we appreciate it, and we love that we get to tell real stories like this.

Spotted at Laundry Central: A Family Reunion in the Spin Cycle!
It’s often said that laundromats aren’t just about getting your clothes clean—they’re about the community that gathers there. But this past Monday, I stumbled upon something that made my heart smile!
Jacqueline, while dealing with some temporary septic issues at home, has been bringing her laundry to our Renfrew mat. With two almost-adult boys at home, you can imagine the mountain of clothes she has to tackle! Luckily, she's been finding it a fast, easy, and affordable way to knock it all out.
While she was here on Monday, she and another customer were absolutely nattering away while their wash was underway. They were chatting up such a storm that I joked with them about not wanting to get in their way!
Well, it turns out they had a very good reason to catch up. I learned afterwards that the other lady was Jacqueline's aunt, whom she hadn't seen in a while! They obviously knew each other, but neither one of them expected to cross paths right there by the washers!
Sure, we’ve got great machines, clean floors and handy laundry carts, but it’s these unexpected, cool meetups and friendly conversations that we hope gives Laundry Central a unique, welcoming, friendly vibe.

After a long, gritty winter, our floors have seen better days—and they’re ready for a serious glow-up.
