Hello everyone,

Quick update - everything is business as usual except we are insanely busy! A few things to mention:

1. Now that we are a legitimate business and make enough revenue to be required to charge g.s.t., we will be adding 5% to all of your bills if we haven't already done so.

2. We are growing and hiring new team members!

Krysten Greyeyes - my right hand man, my sister and Serene Cleaning Services administrator and lead cleaning technician.

Marin W. - our newest addition and commercial cleaning wizard. Marin has been tasked with many of our commercial cleaning responsibilities and has done an outstanding job since she has been employed with us.

We are looking to hire at least two more employees in the near future. Please keep an eye out for updates or feel free to reach out to me or Krysten with any questions.

3. New software and optional payment avenues.

We have heard that our new payment options have been giving many clients issues. Particularly clients with credit union accounts. We are looking into this but if this is an issue for you etransfer, cheque or cash is still available.

4. As of last week - we do not have any room for any additional regular reoccurring clients. We keep a few spaces open for one time clients, move in/out clients and special jobs but otherwise we are booked until we hire and train additional magic makers. We will post when that time comes ❤️

Sunday night, 11pm, and I'm still working....

This is the biggest, most challenging job I've ever taken on. With the help of my family watching my kids, helping me with the actual work and flat out believing in me I am exceedingly proud of the job that I completed. My crew hauled ass and went above and beyond what was asked of them. My teenagers held down the fort at home while my presence was fleeting and this project is so close to being finished.

This house looked like a total loss when we first walked in a week ago and now it looks like a home that just needs some paint. I will be posting before and afters after the sun comes up and the lighting is right 😉 I love what I do and I'm so excited to show the homeowners.

I miss my kids immensely but my hope is that the harder I hustle, the faster I can get this business up and running then take a step back. I'm the main provider for 3 little ones and I don't want my kids to feel the financial pressure that a single parent home is susceptible to. So I grind, day in and day out.

It feels amazing to be growing something that will ensure my kids will be financially set and show them what hard work can achieve. I am just so proud and grateful for all of the support I've received.

Starting wage $16/hr for commercial and $15/hr for residential
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY

Availability:
Monday to Saturday 8am – 6pm (overnight stays for out-of-town jobs are possible but not required)

Requirements:
• 2 Strong work references (or 1 work and 2 STRONG character references)
• Criminal record check
• Fair understanding of the English language
• Ability to follow direction and take constructive feedback
• A desire to elevate your position and grow within the company
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work as a team and individually

Do you clean your cleaning tools?

This is a question that no one asks, but should! The answer is, yes, 1000x yes.

Each house we attend is cleaned with washed and sanitized cloths (unless the cloths are brand new). Our vacuum is emptied between houses, wiped down daily and deep cleaned weekly. Our other tools are wiped down each night with disinfectant solution.

That tiny washing machine I drew a heart around is my most favorite tool that I have. It allows me to soak, wash and thoroughly rinse all my microfiber cloths however often I need to without mixing my work stuff with my personal stuff and yes, it is also cleaned weekly 🙂

This is one of the many ways we differentiate ourselves and ensure the best service possible for each and every one of our clients.

We only have 2 openings next week (Oct 31st - Nov 4th) and 4 openings the week after. Call or message today to secure your peace of mind✌️

Hiring a housekeeper is nothing to feel bad about; it IS self-care.

My favorite part of the job is the reaction I get from my clients when they return to their clean and calm homes. Most people feel lighter and less stressed and that is what makes my work worth it!

Hiring a housekeeper is a smart move if you:

-work too much and are too tired to clean
-are suffering with a disability or ailment and can't clean like you want to
-feel overwhelmed by the thought of doing it yourself
-just plain old don't want to do it and would rather pay someone who really enjoys what they do
-you'd like to treat someone special in your life
