New name, same local people providing great service – Sewer Tech is now GFL Environmental!

After almost 21 years in business Sewer Technologies Inc. has been acquired by GFL Environmental.

Who is GFL?
GFL is the fourth largest diversified environmental services company in North America, providing a comprehensive line of solid waste management, liquid waste management and soil remediation services through its platform of
facilities across Canada and in more than half of the U.S. states. This acquisition will allow us to continue to meet and exceed the high service standards you have come to expect from Sewer Tech.

What does this mean to our customers and suppliers?

Sewer Tech's lining crew recently installed a 48 inch non styrene CIPP liner in a culvert running under CN Rail tracks in Western Ontario. With the shorter shelf life for the pre wet out non styrene liner, Inc. manufactured and delivered the product to site promptly and on schedule.

Job description
The primary purpose of this position is to effectively work within a team environment while providing administrative support and Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties.

Duties:

- Entering of customer and vendor invoices into accounting system
- Involvement in the processing and tracking of work orders
- Processing and updating of project management spreadsheets, forms etc. utilizing MS office suite
- Tracking of company credit cards & receipts
- Coordinate shipping of customer orders and equipment repairs
- Making payments to vendors via cheque and EFT
- Assisting with answering incoming telephone calls
- Ordering of office and shop supplies
- Booking of hotels for crew members
- Other duties as required

Job Requirements:

- 3-5 years office experience
- Demonstrated experience with MS office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Valid “G” license with a clean driving record
- Highly motivated, career oriented with a professional attitude
- Superior communication skills
- Experience with Accounting software (Simply Accounting, Quickbooks etc.)
- College diploma in Business administration or comparable program an asset

Compensation: $55,000/year. Office Hours are 8-5. Additional Hours may be required during busy season.

With 16 yard debris tanks, and 5000 litre water tanks, our trucks spend longer digging and less time traveling for water and to disposal sites.
