Such an amazing accomplishment for a new restaurant and wonderful friends!

The People have spoken! Congratulations to Johnathan & Melissa, owners of Papi's Eatery & Lounge; they are this year's winners of the People's Choice Savour Skillet. Polls were open online & people Savoured Owen Sound all March long during the 10th Anniversary of the culinary event. Papi's opened in June of 2022, and it looks like there's a new favourite in town!

Salt can be a great cleaning tool around the house, there are all kinds of ways you can use salt to clean like I was using it to help break down the stubborn stuck on brown food crust around my gas burners. I just sprinkled some on let it sit for a bit with a bit of dish soap and water, then with some good old fashioned elbow grease, and a slightly abrasive cleaning cloth I saw it starting to come off! What are some of your cleaning hacks?

Tip for cleaning glass stove tops. We have all had crusted on stubborn burnt food on the top of the stove which can be especially tricky to clean when you are worried about scratching the surface. Spray some gentle cleaning solution (preferably an eco-friendly one) on, let it sit for a few minutes and then use a spoon to gently scrap it off!
