Pocket Door Perfection ✨ These doors almost didn’t happen. We went around and around on whether or not adding these custom double pocket doors would be worth the splurge. Boy am I glad this client decided to go for it. These doors add much needed character to this home, and versatility to how the kitchen and living room relate to one another.

This multipurpose room off of the primary bedroom goes by many names. Primarily the laundry room, this also serves as an extra home office and an extra place for hair and makeup when the bathroom is occupied. With so much natural sunlight, this is quickly becoming one of the owners favorite spaces.

The details that were implemented to make what could have been a “regular” long vanity and elevate it into the perfect his and hers custom vanity.

1. We reduced the height and depth of the center drawer bank to create a physical separation between each sink.

2. The center drawer bank is also in a painted finish, while the flanking sink bases are a custom stained rift cut white oak.

3. We designed an arched valance toe kick at the sinks, and used a baseboard detail on the center drawers. This detail created a furniture look with each sink base.

4. The top drawer front that is painted is a slab drawer, while the rest are 5 piece designs. This tiny detail just enhances the custom look and reduces uniformity.

5. We used a mix of k***s and pulls to strategically separate the center drawers from the flanking sink cabinets.

6. Lastly, the marble backsplashes is arched and taller than standard helping to create a focal point at each sink.

💡if you’re considering adding a wine cellar or bar feature in your home, consider adding any of the following features:

- Refrigerator or freezer drawers for all of the cocktail accoutrements
- Ice maker for obvious reasons, and don’t forget to think about what type of ice you need (crunchy and chewable or clear and slow melting)
- Espresso machine plumbed for quick and easy use, with chilled milk of choice storage
- A secondary sink with on demand sparkling, chilled or boiling water
- Microwave drawer to heat up all the snacks
- Temperature controlled wine cellar, you don’t actually need tons of space for this to add up to a high bottle count

Don’t forget to add all of the accent lighting for a swanky hotel vibe to top it all off!
