🦃🍁 HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM MAID IN THE NORTH! 🍁🦃

This Thanksgiving, we have SO much to be thankful for! 💜

From our incredible clients who continue to trust us with their homes, to our hardworking team, our families, and this amazing community that has supported us every step of the way — we are truly grateful. 🥹💜

And speaking of amazing clients... we'd like to introduce you to HERMAN! 🦃😂

Herman belongs to one of our newest clients, and let me tell you, this handsome fella might just be the friendliest turkey you'll ever meet!

And before anyone asks... NO, HERMAN IS NOT THANKSGIVING DINNER! 🤣 He's a beloved family pet, the sweetest bird on the farm, and he's living his best life! ❤️

As we celebrate Thanksgiving, we're reminded that sometimes the greatest blessings are the little things — the people we love, the kindness we share, the opportunities we're given, and apparently, the occasional turkey who steals our hearts. 🥰

Today is October 3rd. 💜

Most people know it as Mean Girls Day.
For me, October 3rd has always meant something very different.

October 3rd, 2013 was the last day I ever had a conversation with my little sister, Alisha.

Nine years later, on October 3rd, 2022, I felt her with me in a way I can’t really explain. I had been hesitating. Second-guessing myself. Wondering if I was actually capable of doing the thing I wanted to do.

And that day, I just felt… powerful.

I felt like she was pushing me. Like she was telling me to stop being scared and just do the damn thing.

So I did.

I started Maid In The North. 💜

And today, somehow, this little company of mine turns FOUR YEARS OLD. 🥹🎉

Four years of hard work. Four years of mistakes and some very hard lessons. Four years of figuring things out as I went. Of doubting myself, surprising myself, falling down, getting back up and continuing to build.

And somewhere in between all of that came incredible clients, an amazing team, awards I never imagined we'd win, opportunities I never expected to have, and a little cleaning company that became so much bigger than I ever thought it would be.

And we’re still just getting started.

By the end of this month, Maid In The North will be moving into a new office in a location that makes so much sense for where we're headed. We’ll be working alongside an incredible local business, and we’re officially taking the next big step in our growth by expanding further into commercial cleaning — while continuing to take care of the residential clients who built this business with us. 🙌

Four years ago, I was just a woman with an idea, a whole lot of hesitation, and a little sister I swear was somewhere saying, “Andrea, just freaking do it.” 😂💜

I’m so glad I listened.

Alisha never got to see Maid In The North.

But she is woven into its story in more ways than most people will ever know.

So today I’m celebrating every client, every teammate, every mistake, every lesson, every award, every late night, every ridiculous idea that somehow worked, and every single person who has helped this business become what it is.

But most of all, I’m celebrating the little sister who gave me the push I needed — even nine years after our last conversation.

I am so unbelievably proud of how far we’ve come.

And I am SO freaking excited for where we’re going next. 🙌💜

I don’t even know how to properly put into words what this means to us.

Four years.

When I started Maid In The North in 2022, I was just trying to build something I could be proud of. Something that took care of people, created good jobs, raised the standard for what a cleaning company could be, and maybe made life a little easier for the people who trusted us with their homes.

And somehow, year after year, you guys keep showing up for us.

Every vote. Every referral. Every review. Every person who recommends our name when someone asks for a cleaner. Every client who hands us the keys to their home and trusts our team to take care of it.

This belongs to all of us. 💜

And I especially have to recognize the people standing beside me. This business isn't just me anymore. It's a team. It's people who work incredibly hard, care about our clients, and continue helping me turn this little idea into something bigger than I ever imagined.
