Here is a poem which just came to me. It is called "Our True Presence".
Thank you

-Our True Presence-
Impartial to preference.
I prefer my mind.
Irrelevant is the reference.
I embrace my time.
My time alive and being.
Is the true judge of things unseen.
I follow what I feel and doubt not my heart.
Nor wallow in the what ifs I declare my part.
My part though small may be big to some.
As long as I lift a little I know I have won.
Day by day if I make a difference to any.
Than paid I must say I am in the plenty.
I long so strong for so much more.
Yet still remember a little is a lot for sure.
With this in mind I continue to endure.
Knowing small wins are worth living for.
So I hold the door for any stranger.
Share kind words in spite of danger.
Danger being the neglect and reject I might face.
I put my heart forward first and give it proper space.
Space to breathe easy, be and bring peace to this world.
Which is at such odds, it makes any easily unfurl.
We are all at war within yet without.
So with this in mind please let your heart shout out.
F**k your ego and your bu****it pride.
Let your heart ring loud and than you shall truly shine.
The real you knows the truth.
This life is hard as f**k, it's sheer abuse.
So while knowing this, and dreaming of bliss.
Be your best self at all times, and lift the mist.
The weight of this mist is bringing us down.
Yet we don't need to let it, if we remember we are profound.
You and me, we are epic, brilliance in essence.
Even through the darkness, we heal with our true presence.

Here is a poem I wrote in January of 2023 titled "Winter"
Thank you

-Winter-
Snowflakes fall and magic lies still in the ether.
Trees lose leaves and more is seen even deeper.
We see through the forest that was thick with green in the summer.
We see into ourselves more and may feel it is a bummer.
The winter is a time to reflect, plan and prepare.
Prepared for the winter we need to, so please take care.
We may feel down or distraught with the chill setting in.
The shorter days and less sun to my soul are a sin.
Yet value is there to be found in all.
Whether winter, spring, summer or fall.
The winter contracts and slows us down.
We need this rest so as to rise again profound.
The wise bear does not resist or make any fuss.
Rather he makes the most of it and lies with the dust.
Upon the ground and well hidden away.
Is where the bear restores its ability to play.
Then in the spring he arises rested and renewed.
With very great strength to carry on through.
In the spring things expand and we elate at the sight.
But without winters would we hold the spring so tight.
Some can't take the heat, which is where I thrive.
The sun makes me feel wildly alive.
I embrace the cold too, by summoning my strength.
Even make friends with it, I stretch to great length.
Go out with no jacket or walk barefoot in the snow.
I leverage the winter so as to grow.
If we learn to endure that which we care not for.
Then we expand ourselves just a little bit more.
If we make peace with the winter and it's cold.
Then it becomes our chapter for ourselves to unfold.
So bundle up, slow down and make peace with rest.
The winter will always come and go, so please make it the best!

It's that time of year again, fall! It's time to service your furnace and any other heat source you may use in preparation for the cold. I am available for all of Pictou County to sweep and maintain your chimneys and flues. This is peak time for these services, so be sure to book your chimney sweeping and maintenance sooner rather than later. Don't wait until you notice the negative effects of a poorly cared for flue. By then you may very well be running the risk of a flue fire which is very dangerous. Stay ahead of the curve and keep your heat source working tip top and your home safe and warm.
