B o n d e d & I n s u r e d ☑️
As a responsible homeowner it is important to hire a cleaning company that is licensed, bonded, & insured. You not only need to protect your assets but you should be looking out for the well-being and safety of the people you hire.
✳️ LICENSED
It's necessary for anyone coming into your home to be licensed in order for them to demonstrate they are able to conduct business responsibly according to any provincial laws & regulations.
You can also ask them to provide you with their licence number so you can check their performance history as well as any complaints or claims filed against them.
✳️ BONDED
This means a bonding company has put money up in the event the cleaning company inadvertently damages any of your property and needs to replace or repair the damages. A bonded company is a good indicator that a company is trustworthy and financially able to meet any requirements if there's any damage that needs to be reimbursed to you.
✳️ INSURED
A company that is insured means that in the event that someone gets injured on the job, there is money in place to pay for any claims or benefits that they may be entitled to make. If the cleaner or cleaning company you hired doesn't have the proper insurance and the employee gets injured in your home they can file a claim against your home insurance and this could cause your premiums to rise or force you to pay out of pocket.
Saving a few dollars isn't always better especially when it comes to protecting yourself & your property, so I hope you will ask these three things of anyone working in or around your home (from cleaners to window washers to yard maintenance workers, etc...) 📝
