Day 9 of posting my workdays to keep my ADHD brain accountable. 😅

Today was a pretty normal day of sewing and alterations, but Uncle Kirby showed up near the end of the day, so I grabbed the kids and we met him and my mom at BP’s for supper.

And yes, I ordered the Thai Chicken Bite Salad for approximately the fourth time in less than two weeks. I may have a problem. 😂 At this point I should probably just accept that this is who I am now.

There was plenty of actual sewing happening today, but mentally? I was on Instagram. 😂 I got the rest of my photos back from and immediately became obsessed with figuring out my new pinned posts.

So yes, the hems, patches and alterations got done… but I know exactly where my brain wanted to be all day. 📱🧵

So… how do you actually work with us? 👋

✂️ ALTERATIONS + REPAIRS
Bring your item into Revive and we’ll take a look at what needs to be done. If a fitting is needed, we can do that too. Alterations are completed first come, first served, so if you need something for a specific date, the earlier you bring it in, the better!

🧺 WASH + FOLD
Bring us the dirty laundry and we’ll handle the rest. Washing, drying and folding are all done right here at Revive.

👔 DRY CLEANING
Drop your items off with us in Moose Jaw and we’ll send them to Busy Bee Cleaners in Regina and have them returned to Revive.

There is NO extra charge for using us as your Busy Bee drop-off location. You pay the same price as you would going directly to Busy Bee yourself, without making two trips to Regina. 🙌

🤍 WEDDING DRESS CLEANING + PRESERVATION
Bring your dress to us and Busy Bee will inspect it and contact you with your options and pricing before proceeding. If you decide not to go ahead, there’s no charge.

Delivery is also available!

If you’re new around here, hi! I’m Marissa 👋

I’m the owner of Revive Garment Care and the seamstress behind the sewing machine. If you’ve brought us something to be altered, repaired, shortened, taken in, let out, zipped back together or otherwise rescued… then it has definitely spent some time on my sewing table!

Revive has grown into a little shop that does a surprising amount. We do alterations and repairs and wash & fold laundry right here in-house, and we’re also Moose Jaw’s official drop-off location for Busy Bee Cleaners in Regina.

One of my favourite parts of this job is that no two days are really the same. One minute I’m hemming everyday pants and the next I’m working on someone’s wedding dress or repairing something that has a whole lifetime of memories attached to it.

Thank you to everyone who chooses to bring their things through our doors. Supporting Revive means supporting a small, local Moose Jaw business, and we appreciate it more than you know. 🤍

🧺 Wash & fold laundry is also done in-house for both households and businesses.

👔 For dry cleaning, we’ve partnered with Busy Bee Cleaners in Regina, and Revive is their official Moose Jaw drop-off location.

And one of the best parts? There are NO extra fees for bringing your dry cleaning to us. You’ll pay the same price as you would taking it directly to Busy Bee yourself, without having to make the trips to Regina.

🤍 We can also help take care of your wedding dress from alterations before the big day to professional cleaning and preservation afterward.

Day 6 of posting my workdays to keep my ADHD brain accountable. 😅

Today’s lineup included a little bit of everything: a jean button replacement, zipper repairs, restyling a skirt, a coat repair, a hem, and a few other projects in between. Every day is different, and that’s one of the things I love most about being a seamstress. 🧵💚

See you tomorrow… assuming my ADHD brain remembers to film again. 😂
