After learning a few valuable lessons on my first pump-out job… the rig has officially received an important upgrade:

Turns out “small hose + RV waste” is not always an ideal long-term business strategy. Lesson learned. 😂
Every job teaches me something, and I’m committed to making the service smoother, cleaner, and more efficient for customers moving forward.
Startup life is equal parts:

✔ learning curves
✔ and occasionally standing there wondering why flow suddenly stopped 😅

The votes are in for the new Onsite RV Pump-Out Service vest design…

🟡 HI-VIS YELLOW/GREEN WINS! 🟡

Out of the comments, the overwhelming majority said the hi-vis vest looked the most professional, visible, and trustworthy for a mobile RV service business.

The black vest definitely got some love too 😎 …but in the end, function and visibility took the victory.

Thank you everyone for the feedback, opinions, humour, and support while I build this business one step at a time. I truly appreciate it!

Alright Facebook… settle a debate for me 😄
Which vest works better for my new Onsite RV Pump-Out Service setup?
🟡 Hi-Vis Yellow/Green
OR
⚫ Black
The black looks cleaner and sharper…
…but the hi-vis says: ‘professional mobile service operator’ and is easier to spot around RV parks and campgrounds.
Bonus points if you tell me which one YOU would trust more showing up to service your RV 😄👇

First official RV pump-out job completed this morning! 💩🚐

Definitely a learning curve… and let’s just say I learned the hard way that using too small a hose is NOT the best idea. 😅

Somewhere along the line, the hose plugged up right at the “business end” and I spent nearly an hour troubleshooting before finally clueing in to what the problem actually was.

Lessons learned:
✔ Bigger hose
✔ Better flow
✔ Less “quality time” with the hose 😂

That’s the reality of starting something new though — every job teaches you something and helps improve the service for the next customer.

Huge thanks to my first customer for the patience while I worked through the bugs in the system. The important part is the job got done and the next one will go much smoother!
