Airbnb uses penalize as a profit account and does not pass the earnings to affected guest.
Airbnb penalized me for $400 dollars as a new host for my water pump break down in middle of winter at ski resort. Guest were informed one week in advance and guest sympathized but Airbnb with intention to further earn out of my unfortunate experience pressed on and collected the funds.
Tell Airbnb that these practices will not go unnoticed.
