Your Halloween pumpkin has a second career... as a mouse buffet.
Happy Halloween from our local team! Once the candles are out, that pumpkin on the step becomes an all-you-can-eat dinner for squirrels and mice, parked right beside your front door. And early November is exactly when mice look hardest for a way indoors.
Give it a tidy send-off: • Move pumpkins on within a few days of Halloween. • Green cart them. Take off candles, paint and decorations first. • Sweep up seeds and pulp from steps and decks. • While you're out there, glance at door corners and the foundation for gaps or droppings.
