Winter is approaching fast! ❄️

A friendly reminder from Phaneuf Sewer and Drain Cleaning to get your sewer and septic maintenance done before the snow arrives.

Place markers or a snow fence around the septic field to keep any traffic from compacting the snow.

Flax bales are a great way to prevent your septic field from freezing by placing them on top of the lines, even mulch from grass and leafs will help insulate the field.

Get the lines and tanks cleared of any debris to allow optimal drainage in the system.

Well it has sure been a busy spring season with all of the water we have had! As water levels are slowly dropping and yards are drying up, we can finally get on with summer 🌞

One of the main causes of basement flooding this season has been covered up and hidden sealed floor drains! However ugly that floor drain may look in a nice finished basement DO NOT place anything over top of the drain cap when you renovate!! It is the only way water can drain at floor level.

With camping and cottage season in full swing, don't get caught coming back to a lake in the basement!
Heavy rain or broken water lines can cause unexpected water to enter the basement, it's a good idea to check your sump pump and alarm before leaving for extended periods of time.
