We are incredibly honoured to share that Loads Of Fun Laundromat Inc. has been nominated for New Business of the Year at the 2026 Kingston Business Awards hosted by the Greater Kingston Chamber of Commerce.
To be nominated, recognized, celebrated, and seen alongside so many incredible local businesses, collaborators, customers, clients, and community leaders means more than words can express. We are humbled to stand in such a powerhouse category with businesses we admire deeply and work alongside regularly through referrals, partnerships, events, and community initiatives.
The New Business of the Year category recognizes businesses operating between 18 months and 3 years — which, in the world of business, still feels like a baby learning to walk and talk. Yet somehow, it also feels like a lifetime has happened in between.
Since opening our doors in August 2023, this journey has been filled with:

✨ And yes… big stress, too.
But every single moment has been worth it.
At Loads of Fun!, we love what we do. We feel incredibly blessed to serve our community every day, and the “why” behind our business continues to fuel us with passion and purpose — even through the adversity and uncertainty that comes with entrepreneurship.
Because that’s the thing about local business:
We persevere.
And when local businesses persevere, communities thrive.
Supporting local businesses matters more than many people realize. Studies show that when you shop local, significantly more revenue stays within the community — supporting local jobs, local services, local families, and a stronger local economy overall. Even redirecting a small percentage of spending toward local businesses can create meaningful community impact.
Over the last two years, Loads of Fun! Laundromat Inc. has grown far beyond a traditional laundromat. We’ve worked hard to create a welcoming, community-focused space while expanding services to support individuals, families, businesses, organizations, rescues, and community initiatives throughout Kingston and the surrounding area.
From commercial laundry partnerships, equestrian and pet care cleaning services, and student laundry programs, to community coat drives and collaborations with local organizations — every step has been rooted in one goal: serving our community with care.
