Cape Breton weather is at it again folks!

Yesterday, we received another truck load of our favourite salt/sand mix and let me tell you this stuff works great.

You may think we just dig it out of kids sand box at the end of the summer. However; We purchase our salt/sand mix from our supplier in Sydney River and have it delivered to Margaree. It’s a pea stone (pea size) and salt mix that has great traction and ice control. Salt melts ice, larger sand stays on the icy patches without being washed away.

Examples of common salt/sand mix uses ⬇️

• Driveways and parking lots
• Emergency services (fire, ambulance, etc)
• Elderly/disabled (homecare workers, etc)
• Furnace oil delivery
• Deliveries (lumber, packages, etc)
• Safe access & egress for traffic/people
• Access to work sites
• Contractors
• Businesses (parking lot, deliveries, work areas)
• Fire departments
• Hilly/ uneven terrain
• Events (dances, church services/events, concerts, meetings, etc)

Hey Facebook!

We are doing a soft opening this weekend. Those of you in Margaree come on by, say hi and try some food!

We're using this weekend as a tester to figure out what works/what doesn't so bear with us, all feedback is welcome.

We're located at Live Life In Tents, 8139 Cabot Trail, if you see the sign at the end of the driveway we're open!

Be careful travelling today on paved and dirt roads.
Paved road from Hunters mountain to red barn is a sheet of ice.
