This Toyota Rav4 was recently dropped off for an interior detail and headlight restoration.

With this vehicle being close to 20 years old, these headlights had a lot of oxidation. After a lot of wet sanding and some new clear coat, they came out looking great and should help to improve night time visibility. There were some cracks that can't be fixed with this sort of restoration, the only permanent fix for those would be a complete replacement of the headlights.

Overall it was my typical interior detail, a thorough vacuum got rid of most of the dirt and had the vehicle looking much better. I followed that up with a shampoo of the driver's footwell to knock out any of those stubborn salt stains/deposits.

While most of my details are fairly uneventful, every so often I come across something new. On this occasion I was doing my first pass of vacuuming the interior, and noticed something shiny in one of the vents - a couple pieces of jewelry.

After speaking with the client, I came to find out that one of their children had put it in there over a year ago. With their permission, I was able to take apart a small portion of the dash, to easily retrieve the jewelry.

When you drop off your car, please let me know if you have any special requests. Whether it's something uncommon like this, or something simple like wanting your dash cam cable hidden, please don't hesitate to ask!

I know it's been quite a while, but after some time off to take care of some personal matters, I'll once again be looking to start up detailing this Spring.

This Ram 1500 had come through last year for a detail, so it was great to see it back again this summer! It received my Silver Detail Package along with a few extras that included an engine bay detail, clay bar and an AIO product (this is a 1 step correction, all-in-one polish and sealant).

While the interior had your standard dirt that's found in most vehicles, the exterior is what really came back to life. This was the first full vehicle where I've used this 1 step correction product, which I'll go over in a bit more detail in another post. I was extremely impressed by the results, and I think the pictures speak for themselves.

At roughly 7 years old, this truck came out looking absolutely fantastic! The amount of gloss and metal flake that now shows through the paint is just amazing, it truly came out looking like a new truck again!

This Toyota Corolla was recently in for an exterior detail and headlight restoration. At roughly 16 years old, this went a long way in making the car look great again!

The primary reason this car was brought in was to restore the headlights back to their original clarity. To do this I started by wet sanding with 800 grit, before moving up to 1000, 2000 and finally 3000 grit. The 800 grit was used until all the yellow was removed from the headlight, while the remaining grits were used to knock down the marks from the previous rounds of sandpaper.

The final steps after wet sanding was to use a compound and then a polish to really clean up the headlights. Once I was satisfied with the results, I applied a UV protectant to help ensure this restoration lasts as long as possible. The rest of the exterior received a deep clean and hand wash, before being finished with a spray wax.

Big shoutout to (Instagram) for taking some amazing pictures while working on a recent detail. If you're thinking of having some professional photos taken of your own vehicle, I highly recommend him!

This Elantra GT was already quite clean inside, so I did a quick interior detail while most of the focus was on the exterior. The undercarriage was blasted clean before foaming the vehicle for a hand wash.

After a thorough wash, the entire vehicle was sprayed down with iron remover before using a clay bar to prep it for paint correction. The paint overall was in fairly good shape, with only a few areas requiring a little more attention. I then applied a wax using my machine, that will give the paint some added protection and deep gloss.

This Golf R belongs to one of my regulars and this time around it was getting a quick interior detail, followed by a full exterior paint correction.

For the exterior I started by giving the wheels a deep clean to bring back that glossy black finish. The car was then foamed as a pre-soak and then washed by hand. Once clean, I used an iron remover before taking a clay bar to the entire vehicle. I then used a quick detailer to clean it up, before starting on the paint correction process.

I used a range of 5" and 3" foam pads and I started by using a compound in any of the areas with more noticeable scratches. VWs tend to have harder paint, so I needed that more aggressive cutting power for these areas.

After that I went over the vehicle with a polish, removing that thin layer of oxidation from years of sun exposure. The vehicle was then given an IPA wash to remove any residual oils, before a sealant was applied for some added gloss and protection to the paint. By the end of the detail the paint looked absolutely amazing!

This Honda CRV was recently dropped off for a complete interior detail (including shampoo). This was a fun one to work on, as it was being passed down to another family member, I wanted to make sure it felt like a new car for them!

After receiving a thorough vacuum to pick up any loose dirt and debris, I did a thorough shampoo of the seats and carpets. While black interiors often hide dirt really well, after 10 years of use there was still quite a bit that came out. With all that dirt pulled out, I think many would be surprised at just how soft/plush the seats can feel again!

All hard surfaces were scrubbed and wiped down and all the windows cleaned inside and out. All this left the vehicle looking absolutely fantastic inside, and ready to be passed down to the next member of the family!

This Ford Ta**us was recently in for a Bronze Detail Package as the owner was looking to put it up for sale.

For the exterior I started of by blasting the underbody before giving the entire vehicle a good foam and hand wash. I then polished the exhaust, dressed the wheels and finished the paint with a spray wax.

The interior received a thorough vacuum, while all the floor mats received a thorough shampoo. Any hard surfaces were scrubbed and wiped down, along with all of the leather seats.

This Subaru Forester was recently dropped off for an interior detail. While a lot of the dirt was contained to the floor mats, I took care of the salt stains around the pedals and got the whole interior looking like new again!

The winters here can be harsh on your vehicle, so don't forget to book a detail of your own!

This 11 year old Nissan Rogue received an interior detail with pet hair removal and a shampoo of the carpets and seats. After a thorough interior clean and shampoo, I had this interior looking like new again!
