Keep Rodents Out Before They Move In!
Mice and rats can squeeze into holes as small as a dime—and once they’re in, they don’t leave quietly. Here are a few pro tips to keep your home and garage rodent-free this season:
1. Seal Entry Points:
Check for gaps around garage doors, foundation cracks, pipes, and vents. Use weatherproof sealant, steel wool, or mesh to block access.
2. Eliminate Food Sources:
Store pet food, birdseed, and garbage in sealed containers. Don’t leave snacks or crumbs lying around in the garage or shed!
3. Declutter & Organize:
Rodents love hiding in clutter. Keep storage boxes off the ground and maintain tidy corners.
4. Trim Back Vegetation:
Overgrown shrubs and branches near your home provide perfect cover for rodents looking for a way in.
5. Regularly Inspect Your Home:
Look for droppings, gnawed materials, or greasy rub marks—these are all signs that you’ve got unwelcome visitors.
6. Firewood Storage.
Remember that firewood great, but it is also an easy and safe place for mice and rats nest. If possible it's always best to store and pile your bundles of firewood away from your house. We recommend about 12-24ft.
