After being on a waitlist for years, I have finally had my surgery booked! Over the next few days, I’ll be busy with blood work, pre-operative appointments, and getting everything ready before my surgery next week.

I truly appreciate your patience if my replies are a little slower than usual during this time.

But is your local laundromat cleaning their machines like this or are You in between contaminated loads? 👀

Let’s walk through my reset process — whether that’s after handling a contamination fee order or before washing my own family’s clothing after a busy week of laundry orders.

Here’s exactly what I’m doing to fully disinfect and reset my machines before the next client’s order goes in… not to mention this is happening more than just once a week it’s also happening prior to washing my own families clothing.

🫧 Washer reset:
• Full Clorox bleach disinfecting spray + scrub down of all appliance surfaces
• Full hot vinegar cycle
• Full hot bleach sanitizing cycle

Now let’s talk dryer 👇🏻

🧺 Dryer reset:
• Full lint trap scrub with Dawn
• Full interior wipe down with cleaning vinegar
• High heat cycle run with vinegar towels to neutralize any lingering odors

And let me be clear — odor does NOT transfer to your clothing after proper sanitation procedures are completed.

This is exactly why contamination fees exist. It’s not just “throwing clothes in the wash.” It’s the extra time, products, sanitation, and machine reset process required to protect every single client after you. 🫶🏻

Why not just go to a laundromat? 🤔

Sure — that’s always an option. But what many people don’t consider is everything that comes with it:• commuting there and back• spending hours waiting for loads• switching laundry over yourself• providing all your own products• and most importantly… sanitation.

That last one is a huge factor that truly sets my service apart from a typical laundromat.

At a laundromat, you have no idea what was in the machines before your clothes — workwear, bodily fluids, pet accidents, smoke, heavily soiled items, etc. Not only can that affect your clothing, but it can also impact hygiene and overall cleanliness.

That’s exactly why contamination fees exist in my business. These fees may apply to heavily soiled loads including workwear, children’s accidents, smoke exposure, or other contamination concerns. It’s not meant to punish anyone — it’s there to protect both your laundry and the next client’s order.

When I handle a contaminated load, those items are:• double washed• treated separately• followed by a full machine scrub-down• and a high-heat sanitizing cycle before another client’s laundry enters the machine.

The dryers are also sanitized between loads when necessary.

That level of care, attention, and sanitation is something you simply won’t get at a public laundromat — and it’s one of the biggest reasons my clients trust me with their laundry
