What does it cost to use your pool in winter? ♨️

A question we get often:
“Can I actually use my pool in winter?”

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: once you do, you won’t go back.

A heated pool completely changes how a backyard gets used. It’s no longer a July to August accessory.... it becomes part of your daily life. Morning swims. Night swims. Snow on the ground, steam rising off the water, lights on, quiet house. It’s a truly tranquil vibe.

Now, let’s be honest... because we want you to trust us. Heating a pool in the cold months isnt for everyone...

In Southern Ontario, heating a medium sized pool at 80 degrees through the colder months with natural gas can increase operating costs by roughly $900 to $1,600 per month, depending on several factors:
- how warm you keep the water
- wind exposure
- whether the pool is covered
- how well the system is designed

That’s not for everyone and that’s okay. Most people winterize their pool for the winter months.
