Winter is coming whether we like it or not.

These clients didn't just want to survive winter in their new house. They wanted to fight against it.

With heated garage floors!

Right now this is just subfloor, framing, and a whole lot of tubing that doesn't look like much.

This is the upgrade no one thinks about but can make a big difference. Not only does your car stay out of the snow but the in-floor heating helps melt the snow after driving quickly and efficiently. Avoiding those dreaded salty mud puddles that accumulate. It becomes even better if you chose to use your garage for something other than parking. Keep your feet and whatever your hobby is from freezing.

By the time drywall goes up, you'll never see this step again.

Behind the walls is always so cool.

You get the general layout of the home and really start to feel how the functionality will come into play.

We mock up the areas for the cabinets and other fixtures so you'll know exactly where everything goes.

And the best part?

As you walk through the home at this stage if something is just not feeling right, this is where the changes can happen.

It's not the most glamorous but you'll never see it again. So we like to show it off.

One of our favourite parts of an infills is when the client want to keep the vegetation.

Yes it gets a little bit trickier and everyone needs to be more careful. But its SO worth it.

Houses are easy to manipulate in anyway to make them suit your life. But your location. That's a lot more difficult.

And keeping existing vegetation means you are once step closer to the best of both worlds right from the beginning.
