THINGS I ASK DURING A WALK THROUGH WITH A POTENTIAL NEW CLIENT. SPECIFICALLY IN REGARD TO A POTENTIAL CLIENT HAVING HAD OR STILL HAS A CLEANER.
The following questions help me determine if the potential new client and myself are the right fit for each other. I feel that it is of the utmost importance to go through necessary precautions before trusting and letting anyone enter your home.
1. HAVE YOU HAD A HOUSE CLEANER BEFORE?
**If so how many and how long has it been since your lat clean?
**Did you have a solo cleaning service or a company that sent multiple cleaners per job?
** Do you know what products they were using in your home and did they supply their own supplies and equipment?
**Were they insured and registered?
**How long did they take to clean your home?
**Was it a recurring service and may I ask how much you were paying for that service?
1. WHY ARE YOU SEEKING ANOTHER HOUSE CLEANER?
!!!(THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR BOTH THE POTENTIAL CLIENT AND CLEANER)!!! Ive done a few walkthroughs where the potential new client is seeking a new house cleaner to replace their current cleaner. I want to be very clear in stating that the last thing I want to do is take from another business. I don’t want to be that person and nor is this how i want to gain my clientele. I have come across cases where the cleaner has certainly been granted enough time and the client was more than willing to accommodate the cost if more time was needed, but unfortunately the cleaner was not capable or willing to provide the good quality clean that the client was looking for. What I have also come across is a potential client that is unhappy with their service and has not communicated with their cleaner, or they are looking for better quality and not willing to accept that this may take more time and cost more money. Respectfully, if you are looking for a better quality cleaner and you are not willing to negotiate the cost and time that this may take…then I am not the type of cleaner for you and I am not here to downgrade the cost of the quality of my work….again that is meant respectfully. I put so much of my time, passion, detail and physical effort into my clients home that we both deserve a fair understanding.
2. WHAT IS AND HAS MADE YOU UNHAPPY WITH YOUR CURRENT OR PAST CLEANING SERVICE?
**Have you tried communicating your concerns?
**Has your cleaner been allotted enough time to be able to do their job efficiently? (This may result in a timing and price change to ensure your needs are met). I always recommend communicating all aspects of your concerns with your house cleaner before seeking another service.
3. WHY ARE THEY NO LONGER CLEANING YOUR HOME?
**Were they trustworthy?
**Were they reliable?
**Has anything ever been damaged and if so…has there been any accountability?
