I've been thinking lately about how much I genuinely love what I do, and I don't think I say it enough. 💜

Being a small business owner definitely comes with its challenges, but there's something so rewarding about being able to build something of your own, do something you're good at, and make a difference in people's everyday lives.

I love the relationships I've built with my clients over the years. I love the trust they put in me and my team to come into their homes, and I love knowing that something as simple as a clean home can make someone's week a little easier.

I love the little things, too. The messages from clients telling us how good it feels to come home after we've been there, knowing they can finally relax instead of worrying about everything that needs to be done. The clients who have been with us for years and feel more like friends than clients. The ones who appreciate the little details and the effort that goes into what we do.

As a mom of 3, I know firsthand how quickly life gets busy and how hard it can be to keep up with everything. That's a big part of why I love what I do. It's not just about cleaning houses for me. It's about giving people a little breathing room, taking a little weight of their shoulders and making their home just a little bit easier to manage.

I'm also really proud of what I've built with Get It Done - Home Cleaning Service. I started my business in 2017 and I've put so much time, hard work, and heart into. Being locally owned and operated, getting to know the families and businesses in our community, and building relationships with people who continue to trust us year after year means more to me than I can explain.

I think sometimes we get so caught up in the day-to-day of running a business that we forget to stop and appreciate what we've created and the people who have helped us get here.

So, if you're one of our clients, past or present, thank you. Thank you for trusting us with your homes, supporting my small business, recommending us to your friends and family, and allowing us to do something we genuinely enjoy. It never goes unnoticed. 🥹💜

Over the last few months, I’ve had multiple homeowners book me to re-do a cleaning job that was previously done by another cleaner who seemed more focused on getting in and out than actually getting the home cleaned properly.

The following are actual examples of things I've personally encountered when homeowners have called me in to re-do work that was done by an inexperienced cleaner:

️❌️ A “deep clean” where the cleaner never moved a single item

❌️ Toilets cleaned around instead of being properly cleaned, leaving buildup and grime around hinges, underneath the seat and around the base.

❌ ️"Deep-cleaned” showers still coated in soap scum and hard-water buildup. Glass doors left with a hazey film.

❌ Kitchen cabinets, handles and backsplash left with a layer of sticky grease and grime.

️❌️ Abrasive scrubbers used on surfaces that shouldn't have been aggressively scrubbed, leaving scratches and permanently dulling the finish.

️❌ ️Mopping dirty floors without properly vacuuming/sweeping first, leaving hair, debris and grime stuck to the floor.

I know everyone has to start somewhere. But there’s a BIG difference between someone who just decided they were going to start cleaning houses last night, and a reputable, established local cleaning company that has spent years learning the trade, has an eye for detail and actually takes pride in every job.

A professional clean shouldn’t mean wiping down the obvious surfaces and calling it a day.

It means noticing the details, moving things, having the right products, tools and equipment, knowing how to properly clean different surfaces and taking pride in the finished result.

There are SO many great local cleaners who actually take their work seriously, and I’m proud to be one of them!💜
