It has been too many years to count, with so much life lived in-between visits... but somehow we picked up right where we left off!
We shared stories, laughed until our cheeks hurt, reminisced about childhood memories, caught up on life's twists & turns and made new memories along the way!
Time may have passed, but family has a way of making it feel like it never did! ❀️

BUT, it is definitely a fun fact that when small businesses are thriving, owners & team members are out there supporting other small businesses! We know what a single sale means to our bottom line. We understand how difficult it is to keep up on paying the bills!

When a potential client asks "Can you do it cheaper?"
Um, no. This is why!
Flowers & greens aren't cheap! Ava doesn't work for free! Just because we work from home now, doesn't mean we are "raking it in"!
We take pride in our education, knowledge, profession & time.
It is important to uphold the industry standard & not undercut our fellow florists. When we do, none of us benefit, from grower to florist to client.
When creating, I want to enjoy the process. From beginning to end!

Never in our 12 years as a retail shop could we just make a plan to close up & go to a location & create! Someone always got left behind to run the store! NOT ANYMORE! WE ARE A TEAM! THIS IS INTENTIONAL FLOWERING AT IT'S CORE!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰
When we got the call from our Fellow Flower Lover & Dear Friend Robert, asking us to create for his Yoga Friends NEW SPACE, we were beyond thrilled! It was happening Friday afternoon, after a very busy "create & deliver" week! What a perfect way to sell out & end the week on a high...& a bit early!! πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‰

It takes so little to be kind, honest & open to discussion. My business has always had an open-door invite to my fellow florists & business friends. There is enough room for us all, enough business to go around & enough space for us to all be kind to each other! ✨

A NOTE TO MY PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE CLIENTS:

It’s been brought to my attention that someone in the local floral community has been sharing that my home-based studio is not operating legally.

Let me be clear β€” that is completely false.

Operating a home-based business in the City of Chilliwack requires a valid business licence… which I have held since day one. Everything I do is above board, transparent & built with intention.

Moving from a retail storefront to a home-based studio wasn’t a step back β€” it was a power move. One that created more sustainability, more alignment & ultimately a better experience for both myself & my clients. If you’ve been here for a while, you already know my health journey.

I won’t be engaging in small talk or small energy. People can say what they want β€” it usually says more about them than it ever will about me.

What I will continue to do is show up, create beautiful work & run my business with integrity.

Thank you to those who continue to support, trust & grow with me. That part never goes unnoticed. 🀍
