Have a 1940 Nash Ambassador 8 in the shop for some restorative work. Anybody have any leads on a Straight 8 OHV engine gasket/seal kit and the plastic covers for the instrument, clock and weather eye?

Henry Ford once stated “ I would give you a car, if your bring it back to me for service”. Well it appears that car designers are living up to his expectations. Servicing some items requires removing the body in order to get to the parts. A poorly designed exhaust manifold bolt that is a notorious fail point, breaking off in the head requires you to remove the engine to access it. You can’t remove the engine without pulling the body. A lot of labour for $100.00 worth of parts.
