Focusing On What Is Important

When the time came for me to head back into the workforce, I was faced with some difficult choices. I had spent 13 years at home with my children, free to attend all of their activities- music classes, baseball and hockey games, field trips and play dates. I was a reliable helper at their school with hot lunch and in their classrooms. I sent my kids off to school each morning and was there when they got home. As I searched, any job opportunity I could find seemed too restrictive- it began too early or ended too late, I wasn’t be able to get a weekday off to watch my child’s track meet, never mind get another one the following week because they had advanced to the next level. After a lot of looking and a bit of frustration, I decided to create the job that I was searching for.

I began Camrose Cleaning Service in 2015 so that I could choose my work schedule. I am able to make adjustments so that I can still be the mom I want and earn an income at the same time. As my 3 kids grow older, I can see all too clearly that my time with them as children is very short and is passing quickly. I want to have room in my schedule for the important things- to have the freedom and the ability to be present and to spend my time in the areas that I feel are important.

This motivation to create my company has now become its mission as well. I want to help other families spend time doing what is important too! I understand that families are busier than ever, that there can seem like precious few hours in a day. I love to help my clients by easing the burden of housework, allowing them the freedom and ability to choose where to spend their own time. Some clients have little children, some have teenagers, and some have aging parents who all need time, love and attention- it brings me great satisfaction to be able to help in this way.
