When there are outbreaks of influenzas proper cleaning becomes more important.

• allow for proper dwell times of disinfectant to properly kill bacteria and viruses on surfaces

• microfibre cloths are a great tool to use as they can trap particles inside the fibres where the disinfectant is also sitting and continue to kill viruses/bacteria

• launder your cleaning clothes, mops, dusts mops properly to allow for proper sanitizing and decontamination for reuse.

• if you are cleaning up a hazardous spill/situation use proper techniques to protect yourselves and others and prevent spreading.

• clean more often than you were before, high priority being touch spots( light switches, door k***s, puah buttons, horizontal surfaces

• use proper disinfectants rated for the cleaning you are performing ie, typical soap is a decontaminate but not a disinfectant or sanitizer

• know the difference between disinfectant, sanitizer, decontamination
