Sewing Machine Rentals:
Rates are $8/day and $50/week, with a $100 deposit and a standard rental agreement for sewing machines and $25/day for a serger. To rent a sewing machine, pick up and drop off in Beltline/Mission area - 17 Ave just west of the Stampede Grounds
Sewing machines are domestic, user-friendly machines, with varying stitch features - some include a wide variety of stitch cams for
decorative and seasonal projects. Up to ten sewing machines can be available for group activities such as Team Building, Community Connection and fundraising activities. Experienced sew-ers, and those exploring taking their skills to the next level, a Husqvarna Viking serger is available for rent, and includes a copy of the Users Manual. This is a flat rate service and does not include loaded threads or tutorials. Aftermarket Fabrics:
clothing and household fabric items processed for re-purposing into new fabrics and fabric items, such as Rag Rugs, Shag Rugs, quilting squares, denim projects, yarn made from tee-shirts for knitting/crocheting, and bulky yarn from sweat shirts for braiding, rag rugs, pet beds, etc...
Fabrics available include denim, cotton-ish, satins, knits, pleather and upholstery, vinyls
Weighted Blankets
Aftermarket fabric used to make tarn is an excellent option for DIY knitted or crocheted blankets for those with Autism, PTSD, sensory issues, etc,, since tarn is easier to stitch into a heavier fabric than standard retail yarn. Supply items include zipper pulls, zippers, straps, collars, labels, pockets, trim designs and appliques, buttons, laces, buckles and other hardware, decorative jewelry...
