🧰 Mobile Facility Technician 🧰
Several shifts available. Full or part time.
➾ Sat. to Sun.: 8 am-4 pm
➾ Thurs. to Mon.: 8 am - 4 pm
➾ Mon. to Frid.: 5 pm - 1 am
➾ Mon. to Frid.: 0 am - 8 am
Reporting to the Supervisor and the Team Leader, the maintenance technician is responsible for:
· Performing inspections and maintenance tasks on different types of building equipment such as pumps, motors, boilers, chillers and generators; this includes performing various testing on equipment according to the schedule and reporting any deficiencies.
· Performing daily, weekly, and monthly inspections and liability/life safety checks; detecting and reporting any faulty operation.
· Using the company cellphone to receive work orders. Complete tenant’s request and properly fill in the work ticket in the app. Diagnosing the problem efficiently is one of the main responsibilities of this position.
· Repairing basic to intermediate issues of plumbing, electrical and heating systems. Repairs include, but are not limited to: switches, plugs, fixtures, appliances, equipment, windows, doors, cabinets, drawers, toilets, sinks, faucets, p-traps, valves, vinyl/ceramic tiles replacement, plaster and painting, drywall repairs, etc.
· Using the proper tools for specific tasks such as electrical or plumbing issues.
· Inspecting the service vehicle and reporting any broken or missing tool, part or material.
· Maintaining a clean record of the material/parts used with each work order and adding any material/part needed to the monthly order, according to the procedures.
· Communicating with clients and tenants politely and professionally at all time.
· Perform other duties as assigned by Management such as light litter pickup & snow removal/ice control.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Experience: minimum of 2 years in building general maintenance or in related fields such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical.
· Experience in emergency measures such as flooding and fire.
· Excellent customer service skills; cordial and professional manners are mandatory.
· Constant demonstration of courtesy in all interactions with tenants and clients.
· Strong desire to solve the issues assigned through the work orders.
· Ability to refer to supervisor when the problem is greater than the level of skills acquired.
· Ability to work efficiently with a minimum supervision and manage many projects at the same time.
· Must be self-motivated, trustworthy, organized & a strong team player.
· Must be willing to follow strict procedures and contribute to their evolution.
· Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driving record.
EXPERIENCE:
· Plumbing : 2 years (Preferred)
· Facilities Maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)
