Sometimes one simple question, “How can I help?, can set something much bigger in motion. ❤️

After the earthquake in Venezuela, a member of the Oakville Maids of Burlington team reached out wanting to contribute. That act of kindness helped inspire a larger effort that provided food, baby formula, diapers, hygiene products, and other essential supplies to families and shelters helping people affected by the disaster.

At Oakville Maids of Burlington, we’re proud to be part of a company where compassion extends far beyond the homes we clean.

From Ontario to Venezuela, kindness travels a long way. 💜

**I left Canada for five weeks and came back loving it even more. 🇨🇦❤️**

Malaysia and Vietnam were amazing... beautiful beaches, incredible food, ancient streets and enough humidity to make me appreciate Ontario weather in an entirely new way. 😂

But after five weeks away, walking my dog through Oakville again reminded me just how fortunate we are to live here.

The trails. The trees. The peaceful neighborhoods. The cool summer evenings. And lawns so perfectly manicured I’m beginning to suspect Oakville has a secret lawn police department.

Traveling to around 40 countries has given me a lot of perspective, and sometimes you really do have to leave home to appreciate home.

I wrote a fun little post about why I love Canada, why I’m so happy to call Oakville home, and, yes, I even found a shameless way to work **Oakville Maids** into the story. 😂

Your house survived Canada Day.

Barely. 🇨🇦

The burgers were grilled, the flags were flying, the fireworks were booming, and someone definitely walked through the house with shoes that had no business being indoors.

So now comes the real Canadian tradition: the post-party cleanup.

We put together a fun and practical guide on what to tackle first after your Canada Day celebration — from trash and sticky floors to bathrooms, mystery stains, and the backyard evidence trail.

And if your home needs more than a quick reset, Oakville Maids of Burlington is happy to help.

What Travel Taught Me About Inclusion

After traveling to nearly 40 countries, I've learned that the places that leave the biggest impression aren't always the ones with the most famous attractions.

They're the places where people feel welcomed.

One of the reasons we enjoy serving Burlington is the strong sense of community here. People from different backgrounds, cultures, and experiences come together to create a city that feels both welcoming and connected.

As Pride Month begins, we're reminded that communities thrive when people feel respected, included, and free to be themselves.

That's something worth celebrating.

Happy Pride Month from all of us at Oakville Maids of Burlington. 🏳️‍🌈

Is it just us, or does every home in Burlington become mysteriously dusty the second spring arrives? 🌼😄

One minute your house feels clean… the next, there’s pollen on the windowsills, pet hair floating through the hallway, and enough crumbs under the couch cushions to feed a small village.

We decided to investigate this annual Burlington phenomenon in our newest blog post:

“Why Do Homes Get So Dusty in Spring? (And Is the GTA Secretly Just One Giant Pollen Cloud?)”

If you’ve opened your windows lately and instantly regretted it, this article is for you. 😂

Back in the early days of our cleaning company, our first “office” rented for $250 a month and may have originally been designed to store mops. Honestly, I’m still not fully convinced it wasn’t a janitor closet. 😄

From there, we upgraded to running the business out of a condo (yes, really), before eventually buying the office building we still proudly call home today.

I recently wrote about the journey: the tiny office, the unconventional ideas, the risks, the lessons, and the moment I finally felt like, “Wow… we actually made it.”

Looking back, it’s funny how the things that seem a little crazy at the time sometimes turn out to be the best decisions you ever make.

And today, having our building fully paid off means we can invest more back into our staff, our customers, and building a company we’re proud of.

Thanks to everyone in Burlington and Oakville who has supported us over the years. It truly means the world to us.

Hello Burlington neighbors (or if you know someone in Burlington)...

We just opened our Oakville Maids of Burlington office and are looking to meet some great local homeowners.

To kick things off, we’re offering a May-only special: 50% off your cleaning for Burlington homes.

No catch, just a really solid clean at half price.

And if (and only if) you feel we did a great job, we’d truly appreciate an honest review on Google. That’s how a new local business like ours gets off the ground, and it would mean a lot to us.

If your home could use a fresh start this month (or want to gift someone a vacation away from cleaning), this is a pretty easy way to make it happen.

Thanks Burlington, we’re excited to be part of the community 🙂

It’s Monday in Burlington. The sun is out. And your house just got called out.

You know exactly what we’re talking about, the moment sunlight hits your floors and suddenly your home starts revealing secrets it’s been hiding all winter.

Baseboards. Window smudges. That one spot you’ve been politely ignoring.

We wrote a fun (and very honest) blog about this exact moment and why spring cleaning feels less like a choice and more like an intervention.

Give it a read. You’ll laugh… and maybe clean something after.

Not your typical cleaning post, but one we think you’ll enjoy.

This past weekend, I had my daughter hanging out at the office, and I suggested she could write a blog post. I was expecting something short and sweet.

Instead, she wrote a full story.

It’s about a girl named Ash who loves cleaning and dreams of working at Oakville Maids of Burlington one day. It’s fun, imaginative, and honestly a great reminder of how something as simple as cleaning can mean a lot more, especially when it’s done with care.

If you’re in Burlington, give it a read. It might just make you smile.
