Applications are open for Canada Summer Jobs! This is a great way for carwashes to hire additional summer help!

The Canada Summer Jobs program (CSJ) provides a wage subsidy of up to 50% of the provincial/territorial minimum wage, to employers with 50 or fewer full-time employees. Its goal is to create quality summer work experience for youth aged 15 to 30 years old.

The jobs need to be full-time, with a minimum of 30 hours per week, and last for at least 6 weeks. Applications are due by December 19, 2024. Get the full details here: https://tinyurl.com/42rry9dt

When it comes to operating a car wash, rules and safety matter: "Recently, the Canadian Carwash Association held a series of webinars where industry experts took time to speak with Canadian car wash operators to discuss issue and concerns in the industry. Duro Bicanic, president of Bicorp Design Group Ltd., a full-service consulting firm for the car wash industry, spoke about the challenges involved in starting a car wash in Canada."

It was a busy week at the The Convenience U CARWACS Show.

CCA hosted morning sessions on Tuesday, September 13 and Wednesday, September 14. In the afternoons, we enjoyed meeting current and prospective members. What a great show!
