Running your own business isn’t easy. It’s long hours, stressful days, constant problem solving, and a level of dedication that never really shuts off. It takes patience, determination, sacrifice, and an all-in attitude every single day.

There are plenty of ups and downs behind the scenes that most people never see, but moments like this make it all worth it.

I never ended up posting this Wednesday because losing my dog really put a damper on everything… but Wednesday I picked up my new truck.

A brand new Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD LTZ — went with the LTZ over the ZR2, and honestly I absolutely love this truck. Still hard to believe it’s actually mine.

What really blows my mind is thinking back to May 5, 2022, laying in a hospital bed after my motorcycle accident being told I’d probably never walk properly again and may never return to work. My stubborn ass laughed and said nothing will ever stop me.

Fast forward four years later…

Running a successful pool and landscape company, two full sea cans packed with tools and equipment, a skid steer, multiple trailers, and now a brand new truck sitting in the driveway.

It’s been a long road and at times
it felt like the odds were always stacked against me, but I’m proud of everything I’ve accomplished. Truth is, people who refuse to quit can never truly fail.

No matter how hard life gets or how dark things seem, just keep moving forward — one day, one step, one goal at a time. Eventually you’ll find that light at the end of the tunnel.

I’m grateful for the way my leg healed, grateful for the work ethic my father instilled in me, and grateful to still be alive doing what I love every single day.
And not gonna lie… this thing looks absolutely mint hooked up to the new trailer too. 🔥

Today was supposed to be such a good day. Just one day after the four-year anniversary of my motorcycle accident, I was going to pick up my first ever brand-new truck — something exciting and worth celebrating.

Instead, today quickly turned into one of the most heartbreaking days of my life.

With extremely heavy hearts, we had to say goodbye to our Tanker boy. Yesterday, surgery was just a little too much for his heart.

Tank was my best friend and the first dog I ever bought. He was the most well-behaved, loyal, and friendly dog anyone could ask for. He would do anything for you — all he ever wanted was love, and he was so, so loved.

He had the kindest soul and brought so much joy into our lives every single day.
My dad and my mom were right by his side when he was put to rest, and while I was unfortunately in Hamilton at the time making sure he felt our love until the very end. I cannot thank them enough for that and everything they did for him over the years

He lived a long, amazing life at 11.5 years old, and I truly can’t describe the heartache I’m feeling knowing he’s gone.

Our home already feels emptier without him. I’m absolutely crushed, and I know this pain is going to last a very long time.

Thank you for every bit of love, loyalty, and happiness you gave us, Tanker. You were more than a dog — you were family, my best friend, and a part of our lives that can never be replaced.

You will be missed every single day and forever remain in our hearts 💔
Rest easy, sweet boy.
