Snow and frozen ground demand the right equipment and experienced operators. ❄️

This Cat 320 is a beast in winter conditions, delivering steady power and precise control when traction and ground conditions are unpredictable.

Handled by trained Herrington operators, the focus stays on safe operation, proper warm-ups, and controlled movements to keep work moving efficiently in cold weather.

Built for tough conditions. Operated with care.

Winter work takes a steady hand and a lot of foresight. Managing frozen ground, tight access, and working carefully around mature trees means every move has to be deliberate. Jobs like this rely on precision, patience, and care for the surrounding land. It’s thoughtful, controlled work — shaped by a crew that’s mindful of the landscape on site.

This is what a good day on site looks like.

Everyone is working together, communicating without needing much said, and keeping things moving safely and efficiently. When the crew’s in sync, the job flows better, problems get handled quicker, and the day just runs smoother.

This is what happens when experience meets teamwork, and the job is done with care.

A few years back in Grand Bend, our crew deepened the mouth of the river to improve boat access and keep traffic moving safely in and out. The long stick excavator was positioned right along the pier, reaching nearly to the lighthouse. This job required experience, coordination, and a team you could trust.

The material removed from the channel was loaded into rock trucks and redistributed along the main beach, supporting shoreline restoration while completing an important piece of infrastructure work.

It’s a strong reminder of what we do best. Practical solutions, well-executed work, and a crew that shows up ready to get it done.

Here’s to starting 2026 the way we always do — prepared, reliable, and ready to deliver.

With cold weather settling in, the crew has been focused on final grading across sites before winter fully sets its pace.

Shaping swales now helps ensure proper water flow and drainage when spring arrives — planning ahead makes all the difference.

A little snowier today, but the work continues. ❄️
