Antigonish Green Clean is launching a June campaign, wherein $5 will be donated to the Antigonish Area Fire Centre for every job completed. As a personal gesture of appreciation, I'd like to acknowledge the support received during a tragic fire incident three years ago, which resulted in the loss of our home and three beloved dogs, Jake, Dash, and Layla, who was expecting. During that ordeal, Adrian Van de Sande and Stevan Van de Weil, owner of Precious Pet Cemetery, selflessly entered our trailer to retrieve the bodies of our dogs, ensuring they received a dignified cremation and were presented together in an urn. Their kindness has left an indelible mark on us. Although the fire left me with PTSD, which I manage daily, our aim is to express gratitude to these individuals and all firefighters, while supporting their fundraising efforts for a state-of-the-art training centre. Today is the day I will be offering complimentary basic cleaning services to a senior citizen or individual with a disability who may require assistance with specific cleaning tasks, such as washing walls, cleaning the fridge or stove, bathroom maintenance, or closet organization.
