My passion for vehicles and the satisfaction of a clean vehicle
11 years ago, I was only 14 years old. This is when I discovered my interest for automobiles. I would read books about the types of cars, car engines, sports cars and the racing world, and from what country each car originated in. I wanted a car so bad, but the realization that I am still to young to drive, and obviously have no money to purchase a vehicle at the age of 14, sucked!
At the age of 16, I got my learner’s license. About 2 years later, I began driving regularly, which was my parents’ 2004 Mazda 3. I loved driving so much, that I started treating my parents’ car as my own. Thus, the trade of Automotive Detailing began for me. I taught myself all sorts of styles of detailing a vehicle; Youtube was my best friend when it came to this. I would ask my Dad to purchase specific types of cleaners and products for me to experiment with on the Mazda 3. My Dad being the supportive and loving Dad he is, bought a whole load of detailing products and supplies for me such as: wax, clay bar, spray bottles, tire dressings, rim cleaners, sanders, polishers, a shampoo machine, a heavy duty vacuum cleaner, microfiber cloths, etc.
In 2019, I finally took a huge step in my life by officially registering my first ever business, “Gill’s Exotic Detailing”. I have been working hard since, bringing a surprised and glowing look on my client’s faces when they see their vehicle with the ‘Gill’s touch’. The motto at Gill’s Exotic Detailing is, Professional, Integrity, Quality. Myself and my hardworking team members live by our motto with each and every service we conduct on our client’s vehicles; so you can rest assured that nobody is driving your vehicle around, running it idle, or beating around the bush when detailing it.
