Global Running Day is back! 🏃‍♀️

On Wednesday, June 3rd, we’re joining the worldwide celebration of Global Running Day for the third time, and we’d love for you to be part of it! 🫵

Last year, our residents ran a total of 68.81 km and raised over €300 for Tuin van Adem en Eten in Zwevegem. This year, we’re hitting the track again to beat that record and to support a meaningful local cause: Caritas Vlaanderen’s “Lege Brooddozen” initiative for schools in Zwevegem, helping provide healthy meals for children in need. 🥪💛

Join solo or with a team and feel free to run as many laps as you want. Snowball will sponsor a fixed amount for every kilometre run, helping us raise as much as possible for the cause.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Etion to Snowball as part of their cycling event 🚴‍♂️

The day started at Snowball with an inspiring introduction by our founder and CEO, Stefan Grosjean, offering a glimpse into our cleantech hub and the ecosystem we’re building. Afterwards, participants enjoyed a relaxed and tasty sandwich lunch by Daltons. The perfect moment to connect and recharge.

Last week we had the pleasure of welcoming the System Integration working group of ODE at Snowball, hosted by our resident Smappee.

This working group brings together members from different ODE platforms every month to discuss current energy topics that go beyond one specific renewable energy system. Topics such as flexibility, system integration and grid congestion are key, alongside ongoing consultations with grid operators, regulators and policymakers.

While the sessions are usually held online, this was the first time the group met physically at Snowball. After the session, the participants also enjoyed a tour of our building.

Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the bright minds from Hogeschool VIVES to Snowball for an exclusive tour of our cleantech hub!

The visit was organised for second-year Bachelor Business Management & Entrepreneurship students as part of one of their courses, where they visit several companies to gain practical insights into innovative entrepreneurship and value propositions.

At Snowball, we believe in nurturing the innovators of tomorrow by opening our doors to students and giving them a first-hand look at sustainable technologies, collaborative workspaces, and cutting-edge projects.

The visit kicked off with an introduction by our CEO, Stefan Grosjean, followed by a tour of the R&D department and production facilities of Smappee. This gave the students a behind-the-scenes look at how ideas in cleantech evolve from innovation to real-world solutions. 💡
